Washington Nationals’ Ballpark

Washington, D.C.

Located at the base of the South Capitol Street Bridge along the Anacostia Waterfront, this facility will serve as the new home of the Washington Nationals major league baseball franchise. The 41,000 seat stadium features 78 luxury suites, substantial club level seating, a restaurant and bar overlooking the outfield, a conference center and group sales picnic area, a family plaza, and numerous concession stands and retail outlets. The project also includes parking for more than 1200 vehicles.

In addition to these public spaces, the ballpark contains fully-equipped facilities for print and broadcast media organizations, home and visiting team clubhouses, auxiliary locker rooms, and indoor batting tunnels. The stadium also houses the Washington Nationals’ administrative offices.

The new ballpark is viewed as the prime catalyst for a multi-billion dollar public/private redevelopment of the Anacostia Waterfront. The comprehensive plan for the rebirth of this area calls for a dynamic mix of retail shops, offices, housing, parks and entertainment venues.
