1,046,000 SF
Our involvement began with the construction of the foundation and core base for the new 21-story critical care and cancer hospital which is situated on a very tight site in the middle the University’s medical center campus.
Smoot also provided design-assist services for the architectural pre-cast building envelope. In addition to housing a critical care center, the 1,046,000 sf facility is the new home of the world-renowned Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. The building’s exterior is composed of nearly 1,250 individual precast panels featuring 8 different configurations of thin brick veneer and glazing.
