Purdue University
Ratio Architects, Inc.
Named for one of Purdue University’s most famous alumni, this 250,000 sf building provides a multidisciplinary experience by incorporating team-study areas, providing shared undergraduate labs, and exposing students to faculty research by locating instructional areas adjacent to research activities. A high-traffic, high-visibility setting for undergraduates, prospective students, parents, alumni, corporate representatives and other visitors, the facility showcases Purdue engineering.
The building also serves as home to Purdue’s engineering diversity programs: the Minority Engineering Program and the Women in Engineering Program. Co-located with Freshman Engineering, these student services are highly accessible to prospective and current engineering students. The facility offers ample room for outreach programming, small group projects, student leadership development and other initiatives. Additional programs housed in Armstrong Hall include Aeronautics and Astronautics, Engineering Administration, and Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS).
