273,000 sq ft
This project involves the renovation of an existing 273,000 square foot building into “like new” condition. Originally constructed in 1984 for the purpose of storing and maintaining COTA’s fixed-route bus fleet, the Fields facility has been utilized in recent years for Paratransit, and Street and Remote Facilities Department operations.
The renovated facility will provide space for storage and maintenance of 180 fixed-route coaches. The scope includes the replacement of hydraulic vehicle maintenance lifts and other equipment, repair of deteriorated concrete, and installation of new electrical, lighting, HVAC and plumbing systems. The administrative offices and driver’s lounge/locker room will also undergo extensive renovation, which includes a new 1,300 sf wellness center for COTA employees. COTA intends to seek LEED certification for this renovated facility.
