The dramatic curving facade of this 128,200 square foot classroom building serves as the gateway to Columbus State Community College’s urban campus and encloses its main quadrangle. The five-story structure houses 48 classrooms, nine laboratories, 80 faculty offices, a seminar center, conference and music rooms and a 375-seat auditorium.
Constructed around a structural steel frame, with a full cast-in-place concrete basement, the building’s exterior features a mix of materials including iron spot beige and patterned red brick, polished black granite and corrugated metal.
